Coffee Revolution

Crefe® Coffee Revolution: The best Colombian coffee from different country origins and the only technology developed in Colombia to process it as it deserves.
Crefé Flower Color

Apart from our technology statements in order to protect the coffee characteristics (that you can read here), we only work with coffee beans and water as raw materials. And not just any coffee, specialty coffees from the best Colombian single-origins. For us, this traceability establishes a common bridge between the coffee growers and the coffee consumers. All of our coffee comes from coffee growers cooperatives, so we can declare its origin.

We have built our own equipments and our innovative processing compels us to work with the best coffees and maintaining, through all the processes, its natural and healthy characteristics. Not every food or coffee factory is committed to this ethics: even for the costs, we prefer to put a major cost into the coffee beans and in the process (we developed a unique innovative technology): That is how we get an ethical product: a product that is as well-done as it is supposed to be.

Within an industrial world and coffee factories, we view ourselves as artisan coffee producers. Why can’t the world change its practices to get better products? More crafted, more artisan-made? Even if we reduce yields and some efficiency, not everything is about costs, sales and volume consumption. If coffee takes time and care to grow, it should also take time and care to be processed. That’s our philosophy.

In our flavored coffees we use our instant coffee and the best available ingredients.

At the same time, we are committed to education, research, environmental and social projects. Click here to know more.

Why Crefé

Crefé Venecia 85 g

We get asked this question a lot. We care to keep the coffee cream in our coffee and it’s not easy. In Spanish, coffee cream is crema de café; the contraction: Crefé®. That’s why we keep the Spanish accent in the . Want to learn more about the crema de café, the visually appealing foam generated on the surface of the coffee cup, concentrating all the flavors and aromas? To know more, visit our post the pursuit of crema.

During more than 30 years processing coffees we have developed an innovative technology, -that we also call (guess how?) Crefé-, in order to keep the coffee cream in the final coffee cup. That technology does not only keep the crema de café, but also enhances and protects coffee flavors and aromas. Want to know more? Visit our Crefé Technology statements.

So, how do I pronounce Crefé? /kre-feɪ/. But, as everybody knows, not too many people know how to pronounce that, it’s easy: cre like in credible, and fe like in face… (mmm… that could be our motto: credible face for ethic coffee) and remember, the accent is in the final syllable. You have just learned some new interesting fact in Spanish.
